Note also: This website is intended as a informative website. I am somewhat 'conservative' as a person and although I admire many other sites, with great video photage etc etc, my time is at a premium what with running the SDF, running courses and seminars, and of course working for our Charity "Action for Society". This means I cannot spend hours uploading film clips, photos etc etc, and I intend (for the time being at least) to get as much relevant information on this site as is possible in order for the SDF to maintain and expand on its position as the UK's FOREMOST self-defence organisation.                                                                                                                                I hope you all understand and accept these viewpoints (even if you might not agree with them Ha Ha)

The above event has had to be cancelled due to poor support, but has been replaced with an OPEN One Day seminar (open to anyone not just SDF/ASMAA members) ....                                      This will be held on the SATURDAY 11th Sept at ACMAC in Doncaster.                                                                                         Cost just £50 for the day.                                                                  Instructors: Paul Oxtoby 6th Dan & Dave Turton 9th Dan.               If you are interested please contact Dave Turton: dave@asmaa.org.uk

Because of the development of ASMAA and the massive amount of work required both in Admin and the ASMAA website, Steve Hallam 4th Dan has very kindly taken over the more 'day-to-day' running of the SDF website ... for which I am massively grateful.

2. JOHN RICKABY 4th Dan, has opened a NEW club in the North East. John teaches excellent Kickboxing, so anyone training there will have a TOP CLASS instructor..                                               There is a 24ft ring, and members can learn ... K1 ... KICKBOXING ... THAI AND SELF-DEFENCE.. REGISTERED BLACK BELTS ... are all SDF members with grades in other systems. NOT SDF, although some are in both lists

SDF DIPLOMAS ... Tells you all about the SDF's unique instructor's Diploma Courses.

SDF Diploma ASSESSORS .. These are members who can qualify NEW Instructors on the Diploma Courses.

SDF Diploma Instructors ... these are members who have passed one or more of the FIVE Diploma Levels and are authorised to officially TEACH self-defence methods based on these diplomas
